Convinced?
On a grand scale, it leads to political rebellion in the Middle East, the end of slavery in America, concentration camps and war. On a smaller scale, it shapes what I do on Friday night, what I major in, where I want to live and how much I’m willing to give up to achieve the “American Dream.” Men and women have dreamed dreams, fought fights, and sought security because they were convinced. Convinced of a cause, convinced of an ideology.
Though, what if I was convinced of a person? What if that person was God in the flesh? What if I was so convinced of this person that it changed not only my eternal destiny, but the cause I live for? The only problem is I’m far too easily convinced that other things are more worth my time, energy and passion.
But, what if I was convinced, completely convinced, of Who really matters?
